The City of Ocala Recreation and Parks department is preparing to host the Parade of Senior Services Information Fair.
The event will take place on Friday, March 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the College of Central Florida Klein Conference Center located at 3003 SW College Road.
The Parade of Senior Services showcases non-profit agencies that provide a variety of services from social, health, education, and more to the senior citizens of Ocala, Marion County, and surrounding areas.
Attendees of this annual event will obtain information on services that they are currently seeking or may be seeking in the future, including various health insurance companies, long-term care facilities, electric and veteran services, and services for the blind and social services offered by Marion County and the board of elections.
Cano Health will have a mobile unit on-site which will offer a variety of services that include blood pressure checks, glucose checks, oxygen level checks, and more. Florida Blue will also give a presentation on Medicare.
This event is free to attend for adults ages 50 and over. Face coverings are encouraged for all attendees.
