The Ocala Recreation and Parks Department is inviting local residents and their canine companions to Letty Towles Dog Park this weekend for an ice cream social.
The event will be held on Saturday, February 24, from 10 a.m. to noon at Letty Towles Dog Park, which is located at 2299 SE 32nd Avenue in Ocala.
During the PAWS Ice Cream Social, attendees will get to enjoy a frozen treat courtesy of the Ocala Police Department’s Polar Patrol. There will also be pet-themed vendors along with several fun activities at the dog park.
The two-hour event is free to attend and open to the public. No registration is required.
The ice cream social will benefit the Humane Society of Marion County, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the care and protection of animals in Marion County.
