Due to a contractor hitting a 12-inch reuse water main, Ocala motorists can expect a partial road closure on SE 14th Street, between SE 25th Avenue and SE 24th Terrace, effective immediately.
According to the City of Ocala, southbound traffic on SE 25th Avenue will be reduced to one lane through the SE 14th Street intersection. The expected completion date of the repairs is currently unknown.
The following detour routes will be in effect:
- Eastbound traffic on SE 14th Street will be detoured north onto SE 24th Terrace, west onto SE 13th Street, south onto SE 22nd Avenue, east onto SE 17th Street, north onto SE 25th Avenue, and back onto SE 14th Street.
- Westbound traffic on SE 14th Street will be detoured south on SE 25th Avenue, west onto SE 17th Street, north onto SE 22nd Avenue, and back onto SE 14th Street.
During this time, there may be potential odors, dust, and noise around the construction area. Residents should expect slow traffic patterns and potential detours in the area. All necessary devices will be in place to re-direct traffic.
