A new 320-unit luxury apartment complex has opened its doors in southwest Ocala, joining multiple other complexes that have opened recently, including another 329-unit luxury complex nearby.
Canter began moving residents into its new location at 4820 48th Avenue at the beginning of August. The new apartment complex is just a couple blocks away from Ocala’s third Chick-fil-A, which is currently under construction at 5048 SW 48th Avenue.
The complex features 1, 2, and 3-bedroom units with prices starting at $1,609 for a 786-square-foot, 1-bedroom unit. According to the community’s website, the rental rates for a 3-bedroom, 1,455-square-foot apartment start at $2,099.
Apartments at Canter boast a variety of luxury upgrades, including quartz countertops, stainless-steel appliances, tile backsplashes, designer fixtures and finishes, and hardwood-style flooring. Units also feature walk-in closets, walk-in showers, quartz vanity tops, and full-size washers and dryers.
In addition to the aforementioned upgrades, each unit is equipped with multiple “smart” features, including smart thermostats, smart light switches, and smart door locks that allow residents to open their homes remotely.
There are also detached garages, private yards, and patio and balcony options available for some units.
In addition to the apartment amenities, the community feature a 24-hour fitness center, a heated swimming pool, community grilling areas, a Pickleball court, a dog park, and a conference room, among many others.
Canter is one of several apartment complexes that have opened for business in Ocala this summer.
Last month, The Grove at Ocala began moving residents into its new location at 5697 SW 49th Road. The new 329-apartment complex also features a mix of 1, 2, and 3-bedroom apartments, as well as multiple home and community amenities.
The Retreat at 42nd also celebrated its grand opening in August. The 268-unit luxury apartment complex features 1, 2, and 3-bedroom floor plans, as well as duplexes.
Aurora St. Leon Apartment Homes officially opened across from the Ocala Wetland Recharge Park in mid-August as well. The new apartment complex replaced the Pine Oaks Golf Course that closed to the public in April 2019.
Last year, Pointe Grand opened at 3435 SW 20th Street, across from the College of Central Florida campus.
