Regina’s Story

On January 25, 1959, Regina was born in Tampa, FL to the late Ned English, Sr., and Ethel English. Regina grew up the 18th child of 20 children. Regina gave her life to the Lord at an early age at Greater Morning Star, Tampa, FL, under the leadership of Rev. Wilcox. After moving to Ocklawaha, FL, she joined Clearwater Missionary Baptist Church, Ocklawaha, FL, under the leadership of Rev. Leonard Scott. Regina served in the gospel choir, where she was a soloist. She moved her church membership to Emmanuel Christian Life Center, Ocala, FL, under the leadership of Rev. Julius Beard. Regina received her high school diploma from Lake Weir High School, Ocala, FL in 1977. She was employed by Lockheed Martin, Ocala SunTran, and Marion County Public Schools Department of Transportation.

A Time to Mourn

Regina was preceded in death by her parents Dec. Ned English, Sr. and Sis. Ethel English; husband Andrew Vance; brothers David Belvin, Sam Green, Ned English, Jr., John Henry Welcome, and James Welcome; and grandson Josiah Rembert.

Jeanette Taylor (Robert); Brothers Leon Green (Eddie Mae), Roosevelt Welcome, Sylvester Welcome (Sandra), Lendell Welcome (Helen), Herbert Welcome, Randolph Welcome, Alvin English; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and sorrowing friends; and special friends Alma Faye Ashwood and Wendy Hunter.
