Ruby Tuesday recently closed the doors on its Ocala location, adding to a list of national companies with local closures along State Road 200 that dates back nearly a year.
The restaurant, which was located at 3500 S.W. College Road, has been shuttered for weeks after abruptly closing earlier this summer.
Earlier this year, Cody’s Original Roadhouse, which operates multiple locations across The Villages, closed the doors on its only location in Ocala. And its neighbor across the street, Pier One Imports, announced a nationwide closure of all of its nearly 1,000 locations.
Krystal’s, which was apart of the Ocala West shopping mall, closed the doors on its only Ocala location before the company filed for bankruptcy.
Although not permanently closed, operations at Golden Corral (2111 S.W. College Road) have been suspended indefinitely since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.
And earlier this year, Earth Fare permanently closed its Ocala location before the company was acquired and received a second chance at life in early September.
