HCA Florida Ocala Hospital will celebrate the grand opening of its newest freestanding emergency room, HCA Florida Silver Springs Emergency, with a block party on Friday, September 29.
The family-friendly event will be held from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at HCA Florida Silver Springs Emergency, which is located at 3741 E Silver Springs Boulevard in Ocala.
A ribbon cutting ceremony will kick off the festivities. Attendees will then get to tour the newest emergency room, hear from nonprofit partners, and meet the facility’s team of caregivers.
In addition, there will be an emergency vehicle petting zoo and animal petting zoo, face painting, balloon animals, live music, a mural unveiling, food from Big Lee’s, and a complimentary frozen treat from Jeremiah’s Italian Ice.
“This is a great opportunity to familiarize the whole family with a healthcare setting before it’s needed,” stated HCA Florida Ocala Hospital in a social media post.
HCA Florida Silver Springs Emergency is a full-service and fully staffed emergency room with ER physicians, nurses, and clinicians who are ready to serve the community with the same capabilities as the main hospital’s emergency room, according to HCA Florida Ocala Hospital.
The freestanding emergency room features 11 exam rooms, CT scans, general X-rays, and on-site laboratory services, and it is capable of caring for all ages, including pediatrics.
