HCA Florida Ocala Hospital is hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, January 18 for its new 11,000-square-foot freestanding emergency room, which is expected to open in the coming weeks.
The event will take place from 11 a.m. to noon at HCA Florida Foxwood Emergency, which is located at 4361 NW Blichton Road, near Highway 27, in Ocala. During the event, attendees will be able to tour the brand-new facility.
According to HCA Florida Ocala Hospital, Foxwood Emergency is “opening soon,” though a grand opening date has not been announced as of yet.
The $11 million freestanding emergency room is expected to serve over 10,000 patients a year while employing approximately 45 full-time healthcare professionals with additional staff.
“When the unexpected happens, you can count on our facility to be here for you,” stated HCA Florida Ocala Hospital in a social media post on January 6.
An extension of the hospital’s emergency services, Foxwood Emergency will be a full-service and fully staffed emergency room with ER physicians, nurses, and other clinicians.
The freestanding emergency room will also feature 11 exam rooms, CT scan, general X-ray, and on-site laboratory services, and the facility is capable of caring for patients of all ages, including pediatrics.
HCA Florida Foxwood Emergency is the fifth freestanding emergency room for HCA Florida Ocala Hospital.
