A home in Ocala sold for $1 million after it was remodeled, nearly quintupling its previous sales price in 2020.
Located at 1237 SE 18th Avenue in the Woodsfield community, the 5-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom, 3,275-square-foot home was purchased for $960,000 in August.
According to Marion County property records, the .6-acre property previously sold for $220,000 in December 2020.
Records show that multiple permits were pulled for the property beginning in early 2021, including a permit to re-roof the home, another for an interior remodel, and a third for the installation of a concrete slab.
The property features a variety of amenities including a saltwater pool, modern light fixtures, new cabinets, stainless steel appliances, and a brick fireplace.
The home also features new windows, flooring, and other upgrades.
The home sale is one of several in Ocala this year that have garnered steep profits over their previous sales prices.
A 4-acre farm that last sold in 2021 for $477,500 was just purchased for over $1 million.
