A company that bills itself as “America’s Largest Homebuilder” is in the midst of building out over 100 homes at a new development in southwest Ocala.
D.R. Horton is currently constructing dozens of homes in its new Huntington Ridge community, which is located along SW Highway 484 at 7211 SW 135th Place.
When complete, Huntington Ridge will feature 115 concrete block, single-family homes that are all either one or two stories.
The community features one style of a 3-bedroom home, as well as two styles of a 4-bedroom home and one style of a 5-bedroom home. All homes range from 1,672 to 2,605 square feet in size, according to the developer.
Each home will come complete with a stainless-steel appliance package, granite countertops, and ceramic tile extended throughout the main living areas.Â
According to the developer’s website, many of the homes have already been sold or are currently under contract.
Among the homes still available for sale, prices range from $299,990 to $349,990.

No stranger to Ocala and Marion County, D.R. Horton has developed several communities in the area in recent years, with multiple projects currently underway.
That includes construction of The Towns at Laurel Commons along SW State Road 200. That development recently erected its first buildings at the site.
