A rapper who calls Ocala home has released a new single across all major platforms.
Ryan Conrad released his new single, In God We Trust, in late January, and followed that up with an official video in February.
Although he is originally from Steubenville, Ohio, Conrad considers Ocala his home. In one of the lyrics in his new single, the rap artist describes himself as a “Florida boy.”
Conrad has published dozens of music videos on YouTube and released his first album in 2017, which was preceded by a couple of singles off the project. Since then, he has released multiple singles and an EP in 2020 entitled Rated R.
One of his most popular videos on YouTube is the official video for a single entitled “Swimming in Whiskey,” which has garnered thousands of views.
Conrad represents “the 352” in many of his videos, proudly displaying scenes from around the area and his locally-themed tattoos. That includes an “Interstate 75” tattoo on his left hand.
In an interview with DopeCauseWeSaid in 2017, Conrad spoke on the vibrancy of the rap scene in Ocala, opining that many artists could go “toe-to-toe” with some of the biggest rappers in Florida.
“I don’t feel like the city is getting the same exposure and attention as some of the artists in bigger cities and for that, we are slept on as a whole,” said Conrad in the interview.
A father and business owner, Conrad operates his own pressure washing and property maintenance company, Conrad’s Custom Property Services.
