A local reggae band will bring a dose of high-energy, soulful music to downtown Ocala as the city’s Sunset Songs Series continues this week.
Propaganjah will take the stage at the Ocala Historic Downtown Square (1 SE Broadway Street) on Wednesday, March 20, at 6 p.m.
Driven by the love of his Cruzan roots and Caribbean heritage, lead singer/songwriter/guitarist Robert Burr Jr. formed Propaganjah in 2016.
The band has played with numerous nationally and internationally recognized performing acts, including Third World, The Wailers, The Original Wailers, Inner Circle, Less Than Jake, SOJA, Pato Banton, Ballyhoo!, The Green, and many others.
For more information on the band, visit Propaganjah online, or follow the group on Facebook, Instagram, or Spotify.
Hosted by the City of Ocala Recreation and Parks Department, the Sunset Songs Series features artists playing original music ranging from funk to blues, reggae, and country. The concerts kicked off in January and are held once a month on a Wednesday night through May.
There is no cost to attend the concert, and guests are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets.
