A mother who started a handmade soap business out of her home in the Ocala National Forest has been generating millions of views on her intricate soap-making videos, which have garnered her over 300,000 social media followers.
Ashley Cain is the founder of My Healthy Soap, a handmade soap company that crafts products exclusively using natural ingredients and essential oils.
Around two years ago, Cain started making soap to provide her family with a better, more natural product to use.
After creating the products for her family and friends, she decided to sell her soaps at local farmer’s markets in and around Ocala.
At the same time, the young entrepreneur also became a mother and sought to make sure she maintained a healthy work-life balance.
As a result, Cain made a point of focusing her attention on building her online presence. She began regularly posting soap-making video tutorials and sharing her story as a young entrepreneur trying to grow her business.
Her videos gained popularity quickly, generating hundreds of thousands of social media followers for the business in the process.
As of this week, My Healthy Soap has amassed over 136,000 followers on Instagram, 116,100 followers on TikTok, 31,000 followers on Facebook, and 6,100 followers on YouTube.

“This business has given me the ability to stay home with my two-year-old daughter while earning an income,” said Cain in correspondence to Ocala-News.com. Cain says that she wants to grow her business locally in order to create opportunities for others as well.
“I have goals to create a huge business that can in the future bring more employment to my area,” said Cain.
