Ocala police are investigating a shooting incident at a local convenience store that sent two people to the hospital on Monday evening.
At around 6:25 p.m., Ocala Police Department officers responded to the Kwik Stop convenience store located at 2066 W Silver Springs Boulevard in reference to shots being fired in the parking lot, according to OPD.
When officers arrived on scene, they located two victims who had sustained non-life-threatening gunshots wounds. The victims were transported to a local hospital.
“Detectives are actively investigating this incident,” stated OPD on its Facebook page. The victims were not identified by police, and no further details were provided in the post.
