The Florida Highway Patrol is seeking information about a vehicle which changed lanes in front of a truck hauling recycled debris, prompting the truck to turn over Wednesday morning on Interstate 75.
The crash shut down multiples lanes of traffic on I-75 in Hillsborough County after the accident occurred at 6:46 a.m., according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol.
The truck driver, 49-year-old Samuel Colon Jr. of Zephyrhills, had tried to avoid a collision when the vehicle changed lanes in front of him. The truck hit a barrier way, traveled up and over it and then dumped its load of recycled debris on the avenue below. Colon was seriously injured and was transported to Florida Hospital.
