Local children between the ages of 4 and 14 are invited to attend a workshop in Ocala this weekend that will teach them about butterflies.
The Children’s Butterfly Workshop will be held on Saturday, August 20 at the Garden Spot of the Sunshine State located at 5960 S Pine Avenue.
During the workshop, participating children will visit the nursery and learn about the lifecycle of a butterfly. The event is free to attend, and there will also be butterfly habitats ($11) and milkweed plants ($7) available for purchase.
In addition to learning about butterflies, the children will enjoy an interactive game, and each child will also receive a complimentary tote bag filled with books from the Early Learning Coalition of Marion County.
The one-hour workshop will be held at 8 a.m. and 9 a.m., and registration is required before the day of the event.
