Culver’s has opened its new Ocala location.
The popular Wisconsin-based, fast food restaurant officially opened the doors on its first location in Marion County on Monday morning.
The new establishment is located at 4836 SW College Road and joins two other nearby locations, including one in The Villages that opened in April of 2018. The company has plans to open multiple additional restaurants nearby, with another on the way at 1781 W Main Street in Inverness.
In total, there are over 800 Culver’s locations across the United States.
Like many of its sister stores, the Culver’s in Ocala features indoor and outdoor patio dining, as well as drive-thru services.
Founded in Wisconsin, Culver’s is known for its ButterBurgers®, which the restaurant says are made from “fresh, never-frozen beef.” The menu features a variety of items that one might not encounter on other fast food menus, including North Atlantic cod, Wisconsin cheese curds, and pretzel bites.
For those with a sweet tooth, Culver’s prepares a variety of frozen treats to order, including frozen custards, sundaes, concrete mixers, shakes, and malts.
Priding itself on its Wisconsin roots, the ingredients used for many items have roots in the Badger State. used with ingredients sourced from the state.
“It’s why we always use fresh, never frozen beef and whole, white meat chicken from America’s family farms. It’s why we only use family farm-fresh dairy for our Frozen Custard. And it’s why every single Cheese Curd we’ve served has come from a Wisconsin dairy farm. We care about where your food comes from because we know you do too,” reads a post from the Culver’s corporate website.
The new business joins a long list of developments that are continually sprouting up along SW College Road.
Earlier this summer, both Carmax and Chicken Salad Chick opened locations within blocks of the new Culver’s.
Later this year, a new VA Clinic will open nearby.
