With its fourth location currently under construction in southwest Ocala, RaceWash is already planning out its fifth Ocala location, which it hopes to open in 2022 on West Highway 40.
The announcement was made by Car Wash Solutions of Florida, a car wash construction and maintenance company, through social media last week.
“We are excited to announce RaceWash Car Wash in Ocala now has a fifth location coming to Highway 40 next to the Wawa gas station,” reads a post from the Facebook page of Car Wash Solutions of Florida.
According to the post, the location will open next year, while RaceWash’s fourth location will plan to open later this fall. That RaceWash location is situated along SW State Road 200, at the former site of Krystal’s, which closed the doors on its only Ocala location near the end of 2019.
RaceWash currently operates three other locations, including two others along SW College Road.
“These washes are locally owned and family operated. RaceWash stays committed to keeping the cars and trucks of Ocala clean and shiny,” reads the release.
The post indicates that the new car wash will showcase additional features including free air, window cleaner, towels located at vacuum stations, free mat washers, a rubber mat sink, and a bug prep area.
Car washes have sprouted up all throughout the city in recent months. With the addition of the fourth and fifth RaceWash locations, as well as other car washes currently under construction, Ocala will have at least a dozen “touchless” car washes in city limits, including two Tidal Wave locations along SW College Road, two Caliber Car Wash locations, Soapy’s Car Wash, and Ocala Car Spa.
